More does not = Better

It is funny.
This week I have been reading scripture
with some study notes that are done in a very 'cool' cartoon / video way...
.....exciting ideas and a neet way to 'see' the big picture of the book.....

But...
instead of it making scripture come alive when I read,
it is complicating and distracting me
from 'hearing' what God is saying to me......
My brain is trying to correlate the 'cool' teaching
with what I am reading
and I miss the point of both....
Hmm....

What I think I need is
more knowledge and information...

What I am finding I need
is clarity
about what God is speaking to me.....
Like Your return in 1 Thes 4:13-18!

Oh Lord,
You are so good to speak
through the 'static' of life and information

and sometimes (often?)
more is not better....

Thank You for reminding me in such an obvious way
that You don't need me to have
more knowlege
to hear You well.
