To my 'family' in Christ.... in Black Creek and beyond.
This week I was woken by the phone at around 4:47 am.
That is usually an indication that something significant happened.
And it had.
William F Enns, lovingly called Bill entered into Glory sometime early Valentine's Day morning.
He is a friend of mine.
Not, 'He was my friend' as I have heard it said.
Though I will miss seeing him... one day I too will go to Jesus, and my friend Bill will be there..... along with quite a few others that arrived before me.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Bill ran well. It wasn't always easy. A heart attack a few years ago, cancer, a stroke, and other challenges of living in an old body. Bill might have told you, "Getting old isn't fun"
But when we talked about Jesus, and what He was up to in someone's life, Bill often had a tear in his eye and a catch in his throat at the wonder of it all.
Pray with me please for the Enns clan. As they grieve a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and mentor.
In Bill's favorite translation - the King James...
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
We will be celebrating Bill's life this coming Monday, February 19th at 2:00 pm
A tea and snacks will follow.
Come and be 'family' together,
I will miss you Bill.
Until we meet again,
Peter Jackson
