Greetings Black Creek Community of Jesus,
This week I am honouring and celebrating the life of my Auntie.
She is my mom's sister. Youngest of the family. She died fairly suddenly in care about a month ago at 83 years old.
She was a lady who loved Jesus and kindly but firmly reminded folks
that He is the center of her life.
Her smile in the midst of life's challenges
(teenage brain injury accident, life of sickness, divorce, death of her son to cancer)
always informed me that Jesus was her source and sanctuary.
Auntie had the gift of music. She gave it to many in the form of piano lessons and singing in many church services.
Matt Redman and Jonas Myrin wrote/composed 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)
I will be reading some of that song and another hymn at her memorial today.
Vs 3 says: And on that day when my strength is failing,
The end draws near and my time has come;
Still my soul sings Your praise unending,
Ten thousand years and then forevermore.
This Saturday come on out to the Camp Bob Dessert Fundraiser
at the Black Creek Community Center.
If you haven't purchased tickets they can be bought at the door
$15 adults - Kid's free
Doors open at 6:30, the program starts at 7 (also kid's program downstairs)
I realize that when it comes down to it. Not much is left after I leave this earth....
except for the legacy of my love for others and Jesus.
Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
3 who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5 who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Blessings on you as you love well,
choose to follow Jesus,
and live into what He has for you this week,
Peter Jackson
