Good day, Black Creek Church Family,

I have been doing some research for equipment quotes for Camp Bob.

Sometimes it takes a few emails to get prices from companies.

When I finally got the price, it was more than we could afford and I let the sales rep know, and that we might consider his product in the future.

This morning I received this email reply:

Hi Peter,

Thanks for letting me know. In today’s business world, I don’t often get such a considered and honest reply. I appreciate it.

Best regards,

Jim

In my devotions this morning I heard the definition of 'hospitality' is

Making space for others in my life.

and I see that also includes being polite, thankful, and truthful in my communication towards those who help me... even if it is 'their job'.

I so enjoyed our potluck together last Sunday.  It was so fun to hang out with each other.

The next few Sundays we are clearing out some of our surplus library books.

Feel free to take some home.

This morning I was encouraged to pray for friends who are doing well.

That they would find meaning in their work.

That they would hear and know our saviour's voice in their life.

That they would walk more closely with Him.

What a great prayer.

Matthew 5:14   You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

15  Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
16  In the same way, let your light shine before others,

so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Blessings as you 'make space for others in your life'

Until next week,

Peter Jackson
