A parable Jesus taught about new patches and new wine, has always confused me a bit....
He said, "And no one after drinking old wine desires new, for he says, ‘The old is good.’” Luke 5:39 ESV
I had always heard it translated 'the old is better'. But 'better' is a comparative statement. 'Good' means they don't need to taste the new wine..... they just know it is not as good as the old....
How many people just know life without Jesus is good...... without tasting HIM?
....and unless they watch someone 'drinking' HIM...
why would they?
Hmm.
