Keeping the focus...

Yesterday I was reading 1 Peter.  A letter to those whom Government had been rather unkind to.  Loss of property, work, exiled....     
And Yet, Peter wasn't distracted by battling the Government.  In fact, he told them,  "Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men...."  2:13-25 

Peter's main focus was to ENCOURAGE them in Jesus.  His example in suffering, Our inheritance....  Peter gave them practical guidelines of how to live in difficult circumstances.

O Lord,
Help me Keep My eyes on You, 
Help me know what battles are important...
and how to encourage your people.
