Lightly loaded?

This morning I was thinking about a friend's question....    
What does it look like for Jesus' yoke to be easy  
and His burden to be light....? Matthew 11:28-30     

and I was thinking of things that I sometimes take for granted....   
Stuff that I don't carry that I would  
if I was without Jesus...   

Grief of mom and dad dying....
it's there, but the knowledge that I will see them again is a huge weight gone...

Job security.... Knowing that He cares for my needs
I might get a bit stressed, but knowing that He has got 'my back' is such a blessing.

My Global responsibility... I don't have to save the world!
Politically, ecologically, even evangelically....
It is His world and as I walk with Him
I live into what He calls me to.... Politically, ecologically, evengelically....
.....the rest is His.... and that is Rest. :)

My health.... my body shape, my acceptance of myself, my goals, my aspirations
Jesus loves me, he calls me to care for myself, to view myself through His lens, to receive from Him my Ethos.
I don't have to perform for the world,
or my family,
or even my church.....
Whew...
He calls me, He trains me, He establishes me
and one day He will take me home...
I am His.

Lord Jesus,
Your burden is easy
and your load is light.
Thank You.

I choose again
to exchange my load for Yours....
and I will
rest my soul...
