This morning I was interested 
in Paul's description of purposes of
the Old Testament
and the 'God of the Old Testament'
So often it is seen as
Violent
unloving
angry....
BUT he says....
Rom 15:4  For everything that was written in the past 
was written to teach us, 
so that through endurance 
and the encouragement 
of the Scriptures 
we might have hope.
5  May the God 
who gives endurance 
and encouragement 
give you a spirit of unity among yourselves 
as you follow Christ Jesus,
This text
This God
all about 
Endurance
and
Encouragement!?
So that we might
have hope
and
enjoy unity with each other....
Hmmm.... 
now that's a different 'lens'
to read the Old Testament through...
to See the 'God of the OT' through...
Lord,
Your objectives
and outcomes
in this 'Earth project'
That Men and Women
Boys and Girls
would come to know You
and enjoy fellowship with You
and 
each other
That we need
Endurance
and
Encouragement...
and that gives
Hope...
Yeah....
Endurance +
Encouragement to bring
Hope
&
Unity
cool.
