Blame game

I have been thinking about Elijah and Ahab for a while.... 
Returning to Israel in the third year of drought and famine, King Ahab saw him and said, "Is that you, you troubler of Israel?"   1 Kings 18:16-18
The King - abandoned God, ignored warnings over and over, led God's people away from truth. 
Seeing the man who pronounced God's discipline on the nation (to draw them back), he transferred his responsibility for the situation onto the messenger....
