Body Building.... Yes! :)

This morning I was interested in a
Different perspective....
which gives
different understanding....

Yesterday I was mulling over
our bodies
the new Temple....

and today I was impacted
that COLLECTIVELY our bodies
are
THE Body of Jesus

Jesus. The one who dwells in me
but also dwells in others
- put us together
and voila!
the Whole Body of Jesus!

and Paul wrote instructions
on how to DO that....
body life.

Building up the Body.... 

1 Cor 11 - be careful how you eat together.... notice those with little, don't be gluttons, and remember Communion is to draw the body together. Be careful with that.

1 Cor 12 - God gives lots of gifts.... remember they are to care for and build up the Body.

1 Cor 13 - Use those gifts in the context of Love.... to build up the Body

1 Cor 14 - Two specific gifts - Prophecy and Tongues - they too are for building up the Body..... Don't despise the gifts, but use them well.

Wow!

I have never noticed the 'Body' theme for those hotly interpreted passages....
but when I see the theme.... they make more sense....

Lord Jesus,
living in 'mobile Temples'
yet living in
the collective whole
the Ecclesia
the Church....
Making up.... YOU! :)

Thank You for the focus
of how to 'do Church' well.

Thank You for Your Spirit
who continues to draw
me into this amazing
mystery.

Thank You
Jesus.
