A phrase caught my attention this morning....
A prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself...
A fool blurts out folly. Pv 12:23 NIV
ESV says it this way:
23 A prudent man conceals knowledge,
but the heart of fools proclaims folly.
the word used for conceals is 'covering' or 'cloth' -> don't expose it....
Hmmm.
I am a teacher
and passing on knowledge is what I like to do....
So
covering over knowledge is 'unnormal' for me
Give them all the knowledge
and they can sort out what is important to them....
Hmm
I have been finding in the last years that
less
is often
more....
I have been learning that;
Listening and asking good questions
often stimulates learning (discovery, revelation)
more than talking.....
Bla bla bla......
Hmm.
The end of that proverb
is that those who are not wise....
fools
even 'godless ones'....
have to always get their '2 bits in'
have the 'last say' or word....
Am I like that....? :P
Hmmm. Yup sometimes I am..... :(
Lord,
Interesting word to me this morning.
Listen.
Don't share it all.
Ask more
Talk less
Hear Your Spirit speak.
as when to talk
when to give out 'the answers'....
and when not to...
Thank You for that.
