Choose....

The last little while I have been noticing what I think  
is a 'lopsided' view of God's rescue plans 

God came to do it - for sure 
God's plan is impossible for me to accomplish - Absolutely 
Grace is free - Yes 
And I need to do His work in His Strength. - Undeniable 

Sooo.... What's missing...? 
I believe scripture tells me to
.... choose.
choose Jesus - yes....
But
more than that.....

To choose a path that leads to holiness.
- not saying I can be holy outside of Christ.
I am saying I need to CHOOSE.

and not choosing is almost always a choice to allow the old nature
the flesh to have its way.

I think almost every letter written in the New Testament
somewhere calls on Believers to
Stop living in the Flesh
Stop sinning
and
Start walking according to the Spirit.
- Usually it is near the end of the letter.

and wear it in every situation

and so I do
Choose You.

and leave behind
my old self.

my Lord.
