Choose well my child.... choose well.

This morning I was interested in what David's
personal disciplines were....

How did he choose to feed his
heart
and
mind....
What he allowed into his personal space.
Psalm 101

He starts with worship and song
declaration of God's Love and Justice

He chooses to walk carefully
He selects what his eyes see

He chooses who he hangs out with
Those who are faithful and 'straight hearted'
Those who are encouragers and 'builder uppers'

Every morning he shuts off the words of those who
don't honour God's name and God's ways...

He chooses what to feed his soul....

Oh Lord,
I too will choose my 'space'
I too will fill my mind
and feed my heart
on the Good things
that align with Your Kingdom...

I choose that those who are to be close
will be lovers of You

I choose to shut off
the words of those who don't hold You high.

I choose to say and also hear words
that build up...

Lord,
Thank You for teaching me
what to feed myself
- healthy 'food'
for my
soul.
