Good day, Black Creek Church family,
Recently someone asked me what 'success' looks like to me.
In particular - Success in relation to God.
While thinking about that I read a scripture that just 'happened' to be in my reading plan for the day.
Isaiah 26:3 You (God) keep him (me) in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you (Lord),
because he (I) trusts in you (Lord).
The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom
The Hebrew word for perfect (or complete) is Shalom
Our 'Word' for this year is Shalom, Shalom
Could 'Spiritual Success' be that simple?
Starting this week Young Adults Bible Study, 7:00 pm Sunday nights in Fireside Room.

This week I am reminded to pray for those in difficult circumstances.
Lifting them to the throne of Grace.
Scripture also tells me that my Heavenly Father
is the initiator, establisher and completer of my 'success'
Ephesians 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy,
because of the great love with which he loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved
6 and raised us up with him
and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace
in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
10 For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.
Wow.
And Yet...
He still allows me to choose to step into what He has for me
or not.
Success?
Perfect Peace?
May you receive all that He has for you
This week,
Peter Jackson
