Welcome to cold February! 

I so appreciated shovelling snow that was like feathers instead of our usual heavy sticky stuff.

 

This week as I was shoveling I was thinking about a situation that I am not enjoying.

A misunderstanding

- stress

- waking up at night thinking about it.... 

 

I have been wondering if there is a resolution that could be a win-win instead of loss...

 I was shovelling and thinking about the worst-case scenario... and feeling justified at being grumpy and a little bit sorry for myself, when I heard a voice say, "That's stinkin thinkin.  And it won't take you anywhere that is good."

 

Hmm... 

I wonder where that came from?...

 

 This is a reminder to all ministry leaders with a budget or fund to give Heidi your annual report by February 9th.  

- What happened in your ministry (numbers, events, people involved)

- Plans for this coming year

- Budget request

 

 Sunday Feb 16th - Upcoming lunch and fundraiser for  Wade Bouzan and Brayden Phelan going to Uganda this summer.

 

 Valentines' Day next week...  Remember to let your valentine know they are special.

 

This morning in my devotions, I was reading A 'David Psalm'.

 37:3  Trust in the LORD, and do good;     

dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
4  Delight yourself in the LORD,     

and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5  Commit your way to the LORD;     

trust in him, and he will act.
6  He will bring forth your righteousness as the light,     

and your justice as the noonday.
7    Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;     

fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way,     

over the man who carries out evil devices!
8  Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!     

Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.

 

- Be faithful

- Delight in the Lord

- Be still

- Don't fret

- Refrain from anger.

 

My problem isn't enemies,

it's stewing in my thoughts

 

Lord, give me wisdom to speak clearly 

To be kind and forthright.

To carry the sweetness and wisdom of your Spirit

into every conversation I have.

 

Blessings as you walk in His footsteps

even when the going is uphill!
