Good day, Black Creek Church family,

Spring has sprung?

I am certainly enjoying the longer days and sunshine.

This week, I made some mistakes.

One was revealed when an apprentice set up to double-check helicopter blade rigging and used slightly different tools.

Then, I realized I had used the wrong tool when I did the job previously.

We redid the work and adjusted things accordingly...

Whew....

The other was doing a first-time-task without enough information.

Although I talked to the local expert, I missed a key technique for the installation.

We ended up having to do it over again....

So...

what does recovery look like?

and

How do others see me now?

How do I see myself?

Well, the team I work with

gave me GRACE.

Kindness

Understanding

Move forward

Room to learn.

I learned humility without self-condemnation.

Wow.

James gives such good advice.

Apparently, my team knows this scripture?

1:19    Know this, my beloved brothers:

let every person be quick to hear,

slow to speak,

slow to anger;

20  for the anger of man does not produce

the righteousness that God requires.

Spring forward:  Time Change this Weekend

This Sunday is Girls Everywhere Meeting the Saviour (GEMS) Sunday.

We will be hearing some of the stories of how these girls are being discipled to grow to be Women of God.

Celebrate them during the waffle lunch 'dessert party'   following the service.

Bring your favorite toppings!

This morning, I am reminded that my prayer times can open opportunities for God to interact in people's lives.   O Lord, that our world would experience more of You moving....

Paul's letter to the Ephesians reminds me of how to cultivate grace for others in my thought and word life.

4:24  .....put on the new self,

created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness....
29  Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths,

but only such as is good for building up,

as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
31  Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander

be put away from you, along with all malice.
32  Be kind to one another, tenderhearted,

forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Grace for self

Grace for others

O, Lord.

Thank you for a team that

loves me well.

Thank you for allowing me

room to grow

and learn

and give grace back,

when it's my turn.

Thank you.

Blessings as you give

and receive grace this week,

Peter Jackson
