Good day, Black Creek Church Family,

This week I was thinking about anxiety

and what situations impact me and what to do about that.

Soooo.... When I feel anxious I often listen to scripture

to help focus on something that is encouraging and 'steadfast'.

This time however the scripture I was listening to was Leviticus....

Hmmm.

As I listened I realized the anxiety that those folks lived under and the incredible grace I enjoy under the New Covenant all provided to me by Jesus.

Leviticus is filled with so many different laws and ordinances for this and that.

Procedures to cover sin that include offerings and sacrifices and washings.

It all seems so complicated.

One really impactful law (read anxiety) was: going to the priest to see if a red mark on a person's head was leprosy or not.

In one fell swoop, they could be 'unclean' and have to live outside of their community....

Everything taken because of an unfortunate medical condition.

Wow!

It puts into perspective how much Jesus and His love for me have covered me.

Even in small practical aspects, like eating bacon with my eggs....

Reminder: This Saturday evening Nov. 16   7:00 pm

Camp Bob Fundraiser Dessert Party   at Black Creek Community Centre.
                             Tickets: Adult $15.00, Children Free
                             https://www.campbob.ca/ or call camp office 250 337 2188.

I am encouraged by how God is moving in our community through our prayers.

Inviting him into often messy situations makes a difference!

Please continue to hold up marriages and families in your circle of care.

Philippians 4:6  do not be anxious about anything,

but in everything by prayer and supplication

with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

7  And the peace of God,

which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds

in Christ Jesus.

Now THAT is something I can be thankful for.

Jesus has come to bring peace to my heart

that surpasses anything else.

It is guarding my heart and mind.

Thank you, Jesus.

Keep on choosing Him,

Every day,

Peter Jackson
