Good Day, Black Creek Church Family,
Last week at our 'Band of Brothers' meeting we began a series on Generosity.
You can see it here on Right Now Media

The homework that was 'assigned' was to choose something to give away
and then pray for God to bring someone into my circumstances to give it to.
This week Donna and I are in Manitoba, visiting her mom.
On our way to Winnipeg on WestJet I prepared my heart to be available to whoever God would bring to me.
When we got to Calgary our flight was cancelled due to weather, so we had a 6 or 7 hour wait for our next flight.
During that time a lady sitting beside me in the waiting lounge began to weep and cry.
After asking her if she was OK, she began to tell me her story.
She was leaving her son at U of C and returning home to Vietnam and was feeling terribly lonely and sad.
She allowed me to pray Jesus' peace and comfort over her.
Then because we were on a different flight for the next leg, Donna and I weren't seated together.
I struck up a conversation with the fellow beside me.
He was returning home after a number of years to be with his mom who has terminal pancreatic cancer.
Near the end of our 2 hour flight I asked if there was anything I could pray for him and his mom.
His reply was, "I want to be present to every moment that I have left with her,
and that I would be able to tell her how amazing a mom she has been all these years."
Wow, What a great desire to pray into with him.
His name is Daniel, and he trusted me with his heart.
My prayer has been that he would meet Jesus on this journey of loving his mom during this difficult time.
What amazing answers to my prayer to be generous.
I desire to have my heart reflect the generosity of my Heavenly Father's heart...
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Reminder: December giving specifics for 2024 receipting - Check the bulletin for details
For those with receipts for ministry expenses, please round those up and submit to Heidi in the office ASAP
Blessings as you choose to walk as a child of God
In a way that reflects our Heavenly Father who is generous beyond imagination,
Peter Jackson
