Good day, Black Creek Community Church family,

"It is well with my soul"

Those words have been running through my head (and heart) in different ways.

- I see references to 'my soul' in the Psalms.

- Chatting to someone and they bring up 'soul pain'.

- Finding my heart is at peace when I'm asked to be flexible......

 Psalm 131 David's song while ascending the steps of the temple.

O LORD, my heart is not lifted up;

my eyes are not raised too high;

I do not occupy myself with things

too great and too marvelous for me.

2  But I have calmed and quieted my soul,

like a weaned child with its mother;

like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3  O Israel, hope in the LORD

from this time forth and forevermore.

This is a space of peace and joy with myself and others.

Even things are not going well... I am not anxious.

I am not 'sweating it'.

Even the things that 'aren't fair'

Don't grind me up inside....

.....'happy' in a grounded, secure, confident way.

...What's going on?

Where does this come from?

 This Sunday L S will be sharing a little about her journey to go where God has called her.

Many of you have partnered with her as part of her prayer and financial team.

She will be available after the service to answer any questions you might have.

 Psalm 66:16  Come and hear, all you who fear God,

and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
17  I cried to him with my mouth,

and high praise was on my tongue.
18  If I had cherished iniquity in my heart,

the Lord would not have listened.
19  But truly God has listened;

he has attended to the voice of my prayer.
20  Blessed be God,

because he has not rejected my prayer

or removed his steadfast love from me!

The Lord Jesus has taken up residence in my soul.

It is He who has ushered in this season of peace.

Blessed be the Lord,

O my soul

and all that is within me.

Blessings on your soul this week.

May you find His peace in the storm of life.
