Good day, Black Creek Church family,

On Tuesday I had the honour and opportunity to step into yet another grief event.

A memorial for the pilot friend that died last month.

Much was said about him and his passion for life and those near and dear to him.

He was 28.

In the midst of the tears and sharing and memories, I was reminded of the significance of those in my circles of people that I work, pray, love and worship with.

I was reminded to be thankful.

And show it.

I am thankful

for Donna, my wife and best friend

for my children

for my church community

for my work communities

for each one that God brings into my life.

Thank you

for you.

We are planning a get-together potluck lunch on Sunday September 22nd.  Everyone welcome

Last name A-K please bring a main dish .  L-Z bring a desert or sweets

pray for those in your family and circle that don't know Jesus.... yet

Philippians 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord always;

again I will say,

Rejoice.

5  Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.

The Lord is at hand;
6  do not be anxious about anything,

but in everything by prayer and supplication

with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known to God.
7  And the peace of God,

which surpasses all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8  Finally, brothers, whatever is true,

whatever is honourable,

whatever is just,

whatever is pure,

whatever is lovely,

whatever is commendable,

if there is any excellence,

if there is anything worthy of praise,

think about these things.

Choose thankfulness.

It is such a blessing to those around

and apparently, it brings health benefits too....

Check it out here

Enjoy the week

and those who are in it,

Peter Jackson
