Fighting battles?

When Israel was in the desert before entering Canaan.
Deuteronomy 2:26 “So I sent messengers from the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon the king of Heshbon, with words of peace, saying,
27 ‘Let me pass through your land. I will go only by the road; I will turn aside neither to the right nor to the left.

and the King not only said, "NO"... but came and fought with them... and lost.
and a land that was never supposed to be part of Israel became theirs.

Soooo.... What battles am I fighting that don't need to be fought?

Lord, grant me wisdom
to rest in things that seem risky.
Battles that don't need to be fought.
