Yesterday during sharing time at church someone talked about the
'accusation talk' that sometimes goes on in our head....
- You were so stupid to say that....
- Why did you say that?....
- Why didn't you say that other thing?.....
- you are so bad bad bad.... bla bla bla...
This morning I was reading about
the shots and barbs of mocking
from the 'good folks of Jerusalem'
while Jesus was being crucified....
'You who said 'Destroy the temple and in 3 days I would rebuild it.....'
come down from the cross.... if you can....
Then a piece de resistance....
right to the heart.....
'Let God rescue you, 'son' IF HE WANTS YOU....
and Jesus heard them
and then Jesus knew the abandonment
of the Father
as the Wrath of God came on Him
....the one son
the true son
Wrath
against all the sin of all time
and He, Jesus
groaned out the words
'My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?'
read it in Matt 27:39-46
I find it so interesting that
after Satan tempted Jesus in the desert
Satan left him....
Until an Opportune time...... ref Lk 4:13
What more opportune time....
Just before the Father 'left him'
Satan uses the voice of a heckler
to say
'Let God save you.... IF HE WANTS YOU....
Implied statement:
God obviously doesn't want you
because if He did...
he would have never let you experience this trauma.
the enemy of my soul
picks the moment of greatest doubt
and leverages it for unbelief
and destruction of my Faith in my
Father.
Lord, Jesus
help me to recognize the
lies of the enemy
Remind me of the Truth
of Your promise
to Never leave me
Your promise of Good
even in the midst of trouble
You sometimes don't rescue me FROM trials
but IN them You are
Sufficient.
I know that
I Choose to believe that
when the doubts come....
You know what that's like.
Thank You.
