As I go into the land of the journeys of Israel
I 'coincidentally' am reading about it in my daily devotions.... :)
Hmmm...
This morning I read a warning from Moses
a few last words from him
before they entered the promised land....
Land of 'milk and honey'....
...Take care...
Beware....
...
'Take care lest God's blessings
cause you to forget him...
Lest you say in your heart;
'It is my power and the might of my hand
that has made me wealthy' '   ref Deut 8:10-18
.
Made me think of what
Jesus said about money and the 'spirit of mammon';
'Watch out for the deceitfulness of wealth
it creates a diversion for the heart
that actually will exclude many from God's kingdom
except for His mercy and power...'  ref Matt 6:19-24,  19:23-26
.
And so this morning Lord,
I take note....
I stop and
ask you to examine
and teach me what is in my heart
You reveal what drives me
and with that revelation
I choose repentance
I choose You as my treasure and wealth.
.
Thank You Lord Jesus
for Soooo many blessings in my life
I know they are from 
You.
so...
Thank You.
