Identity Theft

Just got a news clip from a friend 
on being careful about how people can access my personal information...   
my 'identity'....   

Good info, Good reminder the world isn't a terribly safe place....   

But then.....
How do I live?!      

I have been having this conversation with more and more people....

- Consumed with online 'news' clips
- Checking on the latest issue about someone I have never met
....who might impact my life.... or not...
- Debating in public forums issues I 'must' tell others about...

and in the end...
- anxious
- suspicious
- little grace towards others
- little encouragement
- always ready to 'do battle'... :P

And I
miss out on
Joy
Peace
Rest in God
- the one who calls to me
- the one who loves me....
Who wants me to live into 
who I really AM.

My true Identity.
Child of God.
Cared for by the one who loves me more than any other....

The writer of Psalm 91 was in a place of turmoil
his very life threatened... for real.

and he found rest.

'He who dwells
in the shelter of the Most High..... vs1
'If you make the Most High your dwelling...' vs 9
'He will call upon Me (God), and I will answer him.' vs15

Lord,
There is this rising crescendo of
fear and chaos
that strives to rob my peace.
my identity....
Who I am....
in You.

Distracting me 
from You
Your care and protection

And You continjue to call
reminding me
Your Kingdom is not about those things
they are just details...
not the 'real stuff'....
Righteousness
Joy
Peace
Found In You, Holy Spirit..... Rom 14:17
That's what You bring to my soul...

Thank You Lord.
I choose rest,
turn down the 'static'
Dwell,
In Your Presence
O Lord Almighty.
