This morning I was interested in
God's positioning..    
and His people's reluctance...    

- In slavery in Egypt  
- God's miraculous plagues to get Pharaoh to release them  
- wander around in the desert for a few days  
and while that is happening Pharaoh is reconsidering 
gathering an army      
- all as a part of God's plan!   
and then....    
put the people with the army on one side   
and no way forward  
except through the sea....      

all so that they would understand that
God delivered them
Not themselves...
and God then finished off the treacherous Pharaoh
in the bargain!
ref Exodus 14

Ex 14:13 Moses answered the people,
"Do not be afraid.
Stand firm
and you will see the deliverance
the LORD will bring you today.
The Egyptians you see today
you will never see again.
14 The LORD will fight for you;
you need only to be still."

Principle:
Great delivery can only come
out of great peril....

and
I don't want to be in great peril....
but
I would like to see God do great things....

Hmmm....

Lord Jesus,
I like to be
SAFE
and secure
and just keep everything
Nice.

but I also want to see You
work in my life
and in my circumstances
and
that takes
Risk.

I trust You

I release again
my 'right' to hang on to
the Safety
of the 'harbour'
and launch out again
into
places only You can deliver.

By Your Direction
By Your Guidance
For Your Glory.

Yeah.
