Knowing God...

This morning I was interested in Jeremiah's statement 
' to judge the cause of the poor 
and needy so that it goes well with them....  
is to Know God....' ref Jer 22:16 

To know God...  

A couple of days ago I pondered another verse 
about knowing God.... 
That it is better to Know Him 
Than to be wise, strong or rich... ref Jer 9:23,24 

What is it about my involvement with the poor and needy 
that brings me to a place of  
KNOWING God...? 

Hmm... 

Deuteronomy 10:18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.

James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

As I engage in what He engages in
I begin to Know what His Heart is touched by....
.... and I Know Him more....

Hmm....

So Lord,
I am curious...
What does that look like for me today...?
Do I pursue the marginalized
or do I respond to those on my path....?
Both?...
Hmm...

Lord, I want to Know You more.
