I have been reading the Laws in the Old Covenant  
The standard God set 
so that He could dwell with His chosen people    

Came across this one this morning; 

"Do not accept a ransom for the life of a
murderer" ref Num 35:31       

Hmm.....    

BIG SINS 
little sins....     

Hmm...

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is
death,
but the free gift of God
is eternal life
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Funny how I immediately categorize
which is
Big
or
small....

and this Old Covenant Law brings that out....
and to be sure
the effects
of things like Murder
ARE Big.
But
I am reminded;
Jesus is
BIG enough
to RANSOM me
for the BIG ones
AND the so called little ones
that would keep me
from God's presence....

The wages of
All sins.....

Lord,
Thank You for paying
a ransom
for me
You have paid
for All my sins
even (especially?) the Big ones....
and the 'little' ones too...

Thank You for reminding me
that None are too 'bad'
when they hold to You.

You are
enough.

Thank You
for rescuing me.
