Pressure's on....

These last few weeks I have been looking and listening....
how to 'reframe' suffering and difficulties.

Jesus said, 'In this world you will have trouble....
But I have overcome the world...'
ref Jn 16:33

The word used for 'Trouble' is a word that means
SQUEEZED. uncomfortable, close, more than claustrophobic....
More like
grapes in a press....

As I read scripture I see Jesus in times of grief
or social stress
environmental stress
being put under more Pressure... People coming to him
disciples asking Him
situations growing out of hand....
and then even more happening....
in a boat... in a storm...
Not stressed
Not pleading with His Father
No...
.....Sleeping....
ref Matt 8:23

Squeezed.
but available to the Father
for whatever came His way
because He knew
the Father would supply
whatever He needed.
at just the right time....

Squeezed
and

Resting.

O Jesus
Master of my soul
Captain of my life
can I trust You this way?
can I Rest in the tumult of life
When the pressure is on?
Doing just what You put in my hands
in just the right time....

Yes,
I choose to wait
and act
and
listen
and
walk
in confidence
You are
enough.

Yes.
Thank You Lord.
