Read it.... Know it.

This morning I was reading Titus 2.   
I have been working on a message that Jesus is the TRUTH   
and I realized that the end of the message was missing.   
Jesus is the Truth...    
What of it?   
What does that change?   
If I know that....   
What difference (really) does that make in my life?   

Hmm...

I asked God, "What is the instruction....?"
What do I need to do and know to bring my life
into alignment with this 'Jesus the Truth'?
The instruction:
- Read His word
- Know His word
- Act on what He tells me
In His word.
I have the Holy Spirit.... Yes
I have Christ in me.... Yes
I will flounder and wander
and wonder
and be confused
by all the static and noise
unless I know His word
for therein is the key
for His Voice to become
Clear
and
Definitive.

2 Timothy 3:12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
13 while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it,
15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

O Lord,
Relationship with You
Listening to Your Spirit.....
....but if I don't know Your word
I am hobbled and ineffective
I will wonder and wander.

O Lord,
Give me more appetite for You
and Your word.

I choose
to weave and wear it
as the fabric of my life.
That I might hear Your Spirit
ever more clearly.
Yes Lord,
