Tension...

 This morning I was struck with
the tension in the Christian life....     

Christ does it all....      
'He who began a good work in me 
will complete in the Day of Christ Jesus' ref Phil 1:6     
He does it   
He covers me   
He means that I don't have to have it all together    
by the time I die.... 
Yeah!    

and yet....    

He calls me to keep striving
to keep leaving behind old things
to put on Christ....
He calls me to look beyond ME
and suffer for Him
and the sake of others ref Phil 1:27-30

LORD,
You have so much for me
and
You require
everything I have.
and
I am reminded of Paul's words
- that what I 'have'
is really old rags
and
what You offer
is
Glorious.
Though I see it
dimly at times.

Lord, I choose You
Where else would I go?
You have the words
of eternal LIFE!

Starting
today.
Yeah.
