Valuable... Says Who!?

This morning I was reading the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1  

David, Bathsheba and Solomon are in that lineup.  

In fact when Solomon was born 

(after the death of the child Bathsheba bore from the rape / adultery of David)  

he was called 

Jedidiah - Loved by God  

2Sam 12:24  Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, 

and he went to her and lay with her. 

She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. 

The LORD loved him;

25  and because the LORD loved him, 

he sent word through Nathan the prophet 

to name him Jedidiah. (Beloved by Jehovah)

Bathsheba's husband was still dead

David the murderer wasn't...

Yet God blessed the fruit of David's mess

and Loved that fruit

and

included him in the linage of God coming to earth...

Wow.

He declares over me

Love

even though my past

my heritage

my baggage is full of messes...

Yeah.

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for not having a

'sanitized' linage

for showing redemption

even in the story

of Your forefather's messes

Thank You 

that You see me that way too.

Valuable because 

You 

declare me to be

Yeah.
