Walking into greatness....

I have been 'watching' David.... on the run, mighty warrior, anointed to rule. 
How did he acquire that which was his by God's promise? 
- By honour of those before him (Saul) 2 Samuel 1:5-27
- By honour and right treatment of those who could be adversaries (Abner) 2 Samuel 3:26-37
- By holding the kingdom 'loosely' when things went against him (Absalom coup)

Then the king said to Zadok, “Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place. But if he says, ‘I have no pleasure in you,’ behold, here I am, let him do to me what seems good to him.”  2 Samuel 15:23-28

At every step listening to God, for His timing, His direction, His overcoming obstacles.
Even when things seemed to be going wrong... David trusted God

O Lord,
You are worthy
You are my advocate
You are my King.

Yes.
I will trust you with my all
Today.
