When we see Jesus... Wow.

This morning I was interested 
in what the elders saw;      

Exodus 24:9 Moses and Aaron,
Nadab and Abihu,
and the seventy elders of Israel went up  
10 and saw the God of Israel.  
Under his feet was something like a pavement
made of sapphire (or lapis lazuli),
clear as the sky itself.  
11 But God did not raise his hand
against these leaders of the Israelites;
they saw God,
and they ate and drank.     

After that the elders went down
and Moses was shown all the things that he made replicas for 
in the Tabernacle      

What!?

What was that like?
To see God
and pavement made of sapphire?

Paul speaks of mysterious things too...
1Cor 2:7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery,
the hidden wisdom
which God predestined before the ages to our glory;
8 the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood;
for if they had understood it
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;
9 but just as it is written,
"THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN
AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD,
AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN,
ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED
FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." (NASB)

The wonder of it all....
When I see Jesus...

Lord,
You have things unthought of
reserved for me
I look forward to that day
when I will see You in all Your Glory...

Yes Lord.
