This morning I read Jonah...
and had a thought...
Like how it is so 
'Canadian' 
to speak about God in 
'sensitive' terms....
- Just the right time
- Don't want to offend
- check out how they feel about God first
- defer to their own beliefs...

This morning I thought about Jonah...
- Ticked off at God
- Runs away
- Comes back because God actually saved his life
- Shows up in Nineveh covered in acid burns and a story of being living in a fish
- Tells everyone;
"God will destroy you in 40 days" ref Johah 3:4
He dosn't give the 'repent and be saved' option
- God is going to do it....
- You are toast
- Get ready to be annihilated evil people.....
("it will serve you right" - under his breath?)
Wow, what a message of 
God's goodness
and Hope.... :P
NOT..
Who would respond to that?
What kind of 
Kind Christian response is that
to people's sin....?
Ooops did I say sin?....
And from the King on down....
Including all the animals
Fasting.... not even drinking water....
"Will God change His mind......?"
"Could maybe He have compassion
if we turn to Him...?"  ref Jonah 3:7-9
A city of close to a million people
Evil, vicious, cruel people
Turned to God
through a jaded, irritated, reluctant
spokesperson of God.
Wow.
Lord,
I need to remember
Your message is not about
ME
but about the ones You ask me to 
Speak to.
Remind me
that Your message of Your Holiness
and Righteousness
is not just a 'nice Sunday School story'
but 
Life Changing Truth.
Thank You for teaching me
to Trust You 
beyond my culture.
Yeah. :)
