Bad idea....

My thoughts today were around David hearing from God          
and obeying.....      

The cry was to save some of God's people     
David's men said it was a 'bad idea'     
A really bad idea.....   
David confirmed the message   
and did it.      
with his men
and it was risky
and they found out they would be betrayed by the very people they rescued.....
and they ran for their lives (again)

and God was in that....

Because it was also
    'King' training......
Obeying God because it was right,
        not expedient.....

Lord Jesus,
This so reminds me
that sometimes You call me to
- risk
- be vulnerable
- do something that costs...
even more than I or others feel is
'acceptable'....

You confirmed the message to David.
You rescued through his actions
You kept him and his men safe
from so many.

and
You still do
and
You speak and direct me....
and
I choose
to hear
and
do.
In Your strength
and your protection.

Yes Lord.
Yes.
