Building who's house?

Today I was reading Haggai's call
to the people of Israel
to build the house of God first,
instead of their own houses.    

It reminded me that
the House of God now is
My Life.   

and I have a choice  
to build into Him  
To put Him
and His Kingdom
1st.

The interesting thing in reading
the two short chapters of Haggai
was that there were consequences
for where they allocated their resources....

* Self house
    - plant much... harvest little
    - eat.... don't have enough
    - wages... go into purses with holes

* God's house
   - blessings on all they did

God's desire
was to have Him be
the 'apple of their eye'

the apple of My eye.....

Hmm..

Not to 'build His house'
so I can have blessing... (focus on self)
but
so I can have more of Him
and then my heart can actually
prepared to receive His blessing
without IT... (stuff) becoming the focus.....

Lord,
My heart. So tricky....
...Love You
and then I get....?
...oh dear.

Thank You for teaching me
to swing my attention to
You.
to fill the focus of my life
with
      You
and
      You
will look after me

Yes.
That's it.
