Hello to you, my Black Creek Community Church Family,
I just worked through my annual review with the Elders this week.
It was interesting to look at last year's goals, what worked well, what didn't work so well, what I look forward to, and hear valuable feedback from our Leadership Team.
In an article I recently read, a study found that 'life satisfaction' is often tied to the 'Three Cs'.
-
Choice in how/when I address work tasks
- Feeling
Competent - positive feedback through people or job successes
- Valued in
Community - laughter, friendship, and shared successes and burdens
With the greatest 'satisfaction weight' on the positive supportive relationships in community.
When I reflect on the circles of influence and care that I am involved in
I feel profoundly thankful for the people in my life and the work I do.
It actually makes me smile.
This Week:
Camp Bob Sunday
Camp Songs
, Info, and a Message from the Word.
Followed by a Chili and
Hotdog
Lunch-by-donation fundraiser.
Coming up next Week:
- Easter Sunday
Breakfast at 7:30 - 9:00 in the church basement - bring some muffins, cookies, and Easter food. There will be hot bacon and eggs available.
- Easter Sunday Service
Musical at 10:30 AM in our church - No Sunday Schools
Community.
People that cheer me on, encourage,
and make me smile....
It reminds me of this scripture.....
Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us also lay aside every weight,
and sin which clings so closely,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Blessings on your week as you choose to find life
in every corner of 'life's room'.
