Good day, Community of Black Creekers, all around the world,
Easter is over and Pentecost is coming! (May 28th) I wonder what it was like for the disciples as they went about life in the 'in-between time' of Jesus' Resurrection until the Holy Spirit came.
We know Peter tried to 'go back fishing'..... and that didn't work. People would have seen Jesus from time to time.... But what did they do while they waited? And what was this gift He promised from the Father? What were they waiting for
I find it refreshing to know that my Creator has given me a 'direct line' by His Spirit for direction, foresight, and resources. ...That I might be 'about His business' today.... whatever that might be.
This Sunday will be Communion. If you are online have some juice and bread handy.
I am so thankful for our community of faith and friendship. Thanks as you reach out in different ways to those in your circle of care and love. I keep hearing stories of that being done so well. Keep on praying for those in need - close to home and far away. God loves to move into situations that we request Him to get involved in. Acts 1:3 To them he presented himself alive after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. 4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Blessings as you choose the path of listening and walking into what Jesus has for you this week,
Peter Jackson
