Good day followers of Jesus of Nazareth,
This week I was thankful.
I am reminded at times that my work (Pastoral as well as Helicopter Mechanic) puts me into 'life and death' situations.
This week I watched events unfold that could have gone very poorly
and they didn't.
People didn't die or even suffer significantly.
and I watched a team do their job and then take a breath and even give God credit afterward.
And I get to be one of the mobile containers of God in their midst (His temple).
- Praying
- Listening
- Caring
What an amazing privilege to watch AND be a part of God's work and plans.
I am so thankful.
Colossians 3:12 Put on then, as God s chosen ones, holy and beloved,
compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,
14 And above all these put on love,
which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,
to which indeed you were called in one body.
And be thankful.
Reminder - Valentine Lunch Sunday, February 11th
An after-the-service Lunch catered by the men.
We are asking the men to provide the 'potluck' portion of the meal
A dessert or a salad - big enough for your group and some to share
Pray for those in your circle of care
for God's presence to be very apparent.
When we know Jesus travels closely, it makes the journey so much different.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom,
singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Put on Thankfulness
Trusting that Our Lord is up to Good things
In the lives of those we love (and even those we don't).
Blessings on your week
