Good day Bride of Christ, in Black Creek and beyond,
In one of my morning devotionals this week, I read 3 words in a Psalm that stopped me.
Do I really believe those 3 words?
Do I live like I believe them?
Psalm 97:1 The LORD reigns,
let the earth rejoice;
let the many coastlands be glad!
Somehow I think I have lived a lot of life with the thought in the back of my mind that.....
....one day when Christ returns He will put everything under His control
and then He will reign.
Though the statement is true
it leaves a gap in my brain that begs the question, 'Who is reigning until then?'!
The Psalmist calls me to reevaluate my worldview.
If the Lord God is reigning NOW...
What does that look like?
and
What does that change for me today?
Remember: This Sunday - Valentine Lunch .

God loves to engage with us in His work of redemption and loving those He has put us with.
Psalm 97:9 For you, O LORD, are most high over all the earth;
you are exalted far above all gods.
10 O you who love the LORD, hate evil!
He preserves the lives of his saints;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 Light is sown for the righteous,
and joy for the upright in heart.
12 Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous,
and give thanks to his holy name!
He does reign.
Present tense. Now.
In the midst of the muck and challenges.
He is very much on the throne.
And sometimes it might look a little crazy,
But
He is on the throne.
Blessings as you walk into this week
knowing you are His Child
and
He Reigns,
Peter Jackson
