Good day Black Creek Jesus' people, from all over the world,

This week I have been having fun on my way home from work - listening to the Chronicles of Narnia. The grandkids started me at Christmas and as I heard again the stories of Aslan the lion and the four sons and daughters of Adam and Eve from 'our world' it just seemed right to keep listening.

CS Lewis, the author, crafts word pictures of Heaven and Jesus our King and creates images that help me see wonder, joy, struggle and challenges in a different light.

One of those perspectives is how the young children in the stories can 'see Aslan' when older persons can't.

Matthew 21:15  But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did,

and the children crying out in the temple,

'Hosanna to the Son of David!'

they were indignant,

16  and they said to him,

Do you hear what these are saying?

And Jesus said to them, 'Yes; have you never read,

Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise ?'

This week we are including a list of ministry leaders who will carry on for the next year in our church.

There are also a few ministries that we are looking for names of persons who would lead that area well.  We would love to hear from you if you have any ideas about who might be a good candidate.

- Don't worry about  'checking to see if the person is interested', just submit the form or name/ministry to our church office  - office@blackcreekchurch.ca

- Our leadership team will review and contact those who are eligible.

Prayer: Some persons are facing difficult decisions and challenges.

Ask for God's provision for them;

- Courage

- Finances

- Health

- Joy in the middle.

Pray for Shalom, Shalom

I wonder what I might miss because I don't see with 'little child eyes, heart, or mind'?

- Thinking in ways that acknowledge the work of God.

- Open and present to each moment without distractions.

- Filled with wonder at 'little things' that might seem ordinary or normal.

Luke 5:21  That set the religion scholars and Pharisees buzzing. "Who does he think he is? That's blasphemous talk! God and only God can forgive sins."

22  Jesus knew exactly what they were thinking and said, "Why all this gossipy whispering?
23  Which is simpler: to say  I forgive your sins,  or to say  Get up and start walking?
24  Well, just so it's clear that I'm the Son of Man and authorized to do either, or both.  "He now spoke directly to the paraplegic: "Get up. Take your bedroll and go home."
25  Without a moment's hesitation, he did it got up, took his blanket, and left for home, giving glory to God all the way.
26  The people rubbed their eyes, incredulous and then also gave glory to God. Awestruck, they said, "We've never seen anything like that!"
(The Message)

Full of wonder.

O Lord, that I would see and hear You

more.

Blessings on your week,

Peter Jackson
