Good day, Black Creek Community Church Family,
Paul's letters to Timothy start with the greeting:
Grace, Mercy, and Peace be yours in our Lord Jesus.
I was thinking about that.
- Grace - Getting what I don't deserve - Joy, prosperity, community, communion with my Lord...
- Mercy - Not getting what I do deserve - Judgement, broken relationships, separation from my maker...
- Peace - Completeness and stillness in an incomplete noisy world
On this journey that I am on,
I need Grace, Mercy, and Peace.
- When life seems overwhelming or I have it 'dialled in'
- When I am tired or feeling energetic
- When I mess up or do well
- When the day is hard or easy
It is good to know that my Lord provides this 'baseline of stability' and comfort that establishes peace and resilience in my heart.
Camp Bob Lost and Found as well as Extra Books from the Library are available in the basement for anyone
- Feel free to take what you like this week and next. Items will be gone after that.
Baptism - We will have a baptism on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 13 after the service.
Anyone wishing to be baptized please let me know.
Pray a Prayer of Grace, Mercy and Peace for those leaders in your circle of influence.
They so need God's goodness and wisdom in these times.
2 Timothy 1:2 To Timothy, my beloved child:
Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience,
as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day.
Grace, Mercy and Peace on you
as you walk the rest of the week out,
Peter Jackson
