Good day, Black Creek Church family,

This week a little 'pop up' theme for me has been:

Resilience.

Like when someone bumps my routine or the way I like things done....

How do I respond inside?

How to I respond (outside voice)?

How do I 'manage' myself, and those around me?

How do I stop frustration or irritation from growing (and taking my heart places that are NOT healthy)

I was listening to Romans yesterday when Paul started talking about being kind and loving towards those who not only 'bump' me but are Enemies!...

Romans 12:16  Live in harmony with one another.

Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.

Never be conceited.

17  Repay no one evil for evil,

but give thought to do what is honourable in the sight of all.
18  If possible, so far as it depends on you,

live peaceably with all.
19  Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God,

for it is written,  Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.
20  To the contrary,  if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink;

for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head. (not torture but conviction for change - PJ)
21  Do not be overcome by evil,

but overcome evil with good.

I was realizing that I have a looong way to go in the

Resilience department.

And then the Lord reminded me of one of His tools for character adjustment.

Prayer.

Prayer for that person....

Changes me

(and maybe changes them).

Prayerful Resilience shifts me from Gritting my teeth...

to trusting that God has something good for us both.

That's a win/win.

Pray for those in your circle that need to move forward.

That they would find a way.

Reminder: Time Change - set your clock one hour back this Saturday evening!

Blessings as you Find Him

To be enough in your day.

For whatever comes along.
