Good day Black Creekers.... wherever you are.
Change of Season....
Reflections
- Tired..?
- Looking forward to...?
- Good memories...
- Sad the passing season isn't longer...?
- What's coming..?
- Is this the time to make a change?
There are lots of thoughts and emotions in the space between seasons.
Donna and I watched as numerous young people said 'goodbye' to friends, summer ministry, and a season of intense growth at Camp Bob last week.
Some were heading to brand new experiences, while others were continuing something that was 'interrupted' by the summer.
I find that the 'space between' is often a moment, a day, or a week to catch my breath and reflect on what I have learned and how I want to carry that into a new or continued situation in the coming season.
- What do I want to continue to invest in?
- What do I want to unhook from?
- What has God been preparing me for?
- How will that look in the new season, circle of care, authority structure, culture of.....?
For me that has prompted me to look more closely at how I plan the time in my week.
Those questions above help guide me.
God's word is integral to the process.
Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
How about you?
How do you step from one season to the next?
I encourage you - to take some moments.
Chew it over with a friend, spend time in prayer, write yourself a letter....
spend some time. Reflect.
Remember to pray for those in your circle of care. God loves to be invited into their situation.

In my reading today Psalm 90.
Moses reminds me to be intentional about how I 'spend' my life
12 So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,
that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
It's good to be 'back'. I missed our Friday Emails.
Blessings on your week,
