I have been reading through Acts with different 'lenses'.
Paul's discourses didn't 'help' him in the situations he found himself in..... Jesus said, Luke 12:11 "And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,
12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.”
Somehow I assumed that what I would be given to say would win me favour and get me out of 'trouble' Paul never cared about the 'trouble' but used it as an opportunity to witness to the Life of Jesus..... It usually got him in more 'hot water'....
Hmm....
Lord, I choose to let go of 'defense'
and count the cost to speak to
Opportunity.
