Fear

I was reading about one of the kings called Josiah.   
- Came to the kingship at age 8.   
- Was a good king unlike his father and grandfather before him.   
and while they were cleaning and repairing the temple 18 years into his leadership  
they found the BOOK.   
The book of the LAW   
The book that Moses had written   
from the words given to him from God.   
Probably hidden during the years of the reign of the previous 2 kings.

So interesting to see how Josiah reacts to the words of God.
Not comfort,
Not interest in what God's words are,
but
Fear.
Instant and accompanied by action;
"Go and inquire for me and the people.... for great is the Lord's anger because of our father's disobedience to the words of this book"
Read the account in 2King 22

and I read the Bible most every day....
I have access to the same words (and a few more)
So,
What is different?
This book of the law that brought extreme anxiety.
guilt, even shame.

Jesus makes it different.

I can approach the throne of God Himself

by Grace...
...the way opened for me by Jesus
so that I can draw near to God confidently
with a clean conscience
and a sincere heart. Hebrews 10:19-22

Wow.

Fear
or
Confidence

Lord Jesus
Thank you so much
for making a way.
for covering me
by Your Righteousness
for giving me Life
by taking my
Judgment.
and 
fear.

yeah.
