This morning I was wondering about
John Mark....
He was there when Peter announced
he would never forsake Jesus
and John Mark did too.... ref Mk 14:31
and 
John Mark ran away 
leaving his clothes behind...
when they came to arrest Jesus... ref Mk 14:51,52
Ran away
Naked....
Lots of focus on Peter
and his denial
AND Jesus' reinstatement of him... ref Jn 21:15
But John Mark...
I wonder how he walked that one out?
and later on with Paul and Barnabas
they argued about his desertion
and it split the team...  Acts 15:37-39
Hmm... Some pretty massive FAILS
in the life of a disciple...
I wonder how he reconciled that
in his walk and life....
and heart....
And Yet.
He penned words
that are in the canon of Scripture
That paint pictures of Christ 
like no one else....
....I was thinking about when my thoughts
want to defeat me
...reminding me of my FAILS...
Isaiah tells about Israel and her FAILS
and yet at the end God speaks to them:
Is 62:4  You shall no more be termed Forsaken, 
          and your land shall no more be termed Desolate, 
    but you shall be called 
         My Delight Is in Her, 
          and your land 
        Married; 
    for the LORD delights in you, 
          and your land shall be married.
5  For as a young man marries a young woman, 
          so shall your sons marry you, 
    and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, 
          so shall your God 
       rejoice over you.
My Delight Is in Her...
Wow.
Lord,
Thank You for reminding me
You love me
beyond my actions
or
inactions... :P
You Delight in me.
even when I have
trouble
liking myself....
Thank You.
...seems so small...
Yet...
Thank You.
