Joy

This morning as I read scripture 
I 'saw' two pictures of
joy / relief / profound thankfulness    

Isaiah tells the story of siege and exile and enemies 
and then tells them to GET READY for 
rescue....   
The watchman waits for the Lord to come
and when He does...
When He arrives
Oh such rejoicing, oh such singing....
Yes!
ref Isaiah 52:1-12

The other 'picture' was when the people
discovered that Jesus could heal the sick...
and they RAN
and brought them
and laid them on the ground
all through the markets
Asking
Begging to touch...
even the fringe of His garment
and when they did
HEALING!
Yes!
ref Mark 6:53-56

In those moments
When the relief comes
when the fear of more is gone
When the rescue happens...

Such joy
Such thankfulness
Oh God.
For Your provision...
Today.
