This morning as I was reading John
I was struck by the irony of the actions of the religious leaders.
"Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas
to the palace of the Roman governor.
By now it was early morning,
and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness
the Jews did not enter the palace;
they wanted to be able to eat the Passover." Jn 18:28

So interesting.....
In the beginning of John's record of Jesus
he begins with;
"The next day John (the Baptist)
saw Jesus coming toward him and said,
"Look, the Lamb of God,
who takes away the sin of the world!" " Jn 1:29

These Jews who didn't want to be disqualified from
Passover participation
were actually killing the true Lamb
Who's Blood would save all
who believed in Him....
Yet.
They 'missed' Him
of whom the ceremony was a foretelling shadow
....they believed
in the ceremony
the history
the tradition.....

Hmm..

and they missed the
ONE
that everything
including the traditions
Pointed to.....

Hmm..

Lord,
What am I missing today?
What tradition or belief 'system' is creating
a blind spot
for Your Presence to become my
Passover?
My Savior
My answer.

I listen
To hear
I look
To see
You

again,
differently,
today.
