Old... New... -> Jesus.
This morning I read a passage in Deuteronomy where.....
Moses told them "What God required:" ref 10:12
- Fear Him
- Walk in His ways
- Love Him with all your Heart and Soul
- Keep His commandments and statutes.
Yeah OK..... Old Testament....
And Jesus said, What God requires is to:
'Believe in Him (Jesus)' ref Jn 6:29
Which includes
- Receive Him
which results in me
- ACTING like Him
released from the hold of Sin
and empowered and enlightened by
His Spirit
- So that I can Keep His command to.....
Love one another.... ref Jn 13:34
.... New Testament.....
Hm... actually not much different
Huh?! ....God's not different in the Old Testament
from the New?
Nope. :)
....except that
Jesus fulfilled ALL the Old Testament Commandments
so I don't have to....
I just need to
Believe in Him....
Live in Him
Walk out Life by Him.
Moment by Moment
Given over to Him...
Thank You Lord Jesus
for making this really simple.
Follow You
Listen to You
Obey You
and I will enjoy LIFE
full on.
Loved by my Lord
and
Creator.
Yeah!
